Townhouse owner and Executive Chef Ellen Hope Rosenberg was born and raised in the Bay Area. Ellen attended cooking school in Paris at La Varenne. She was welcomed in the Los Angeles culinary community and had positions at Michael’s and L’Orangerie before working with Wolfgang Puck at Spago for several years. Ellen started Townhouse Bar and Grill in 1990. She is married to San Francisco developer Douglas Rosenberg and has two daughters. The family resides in Kentfield.
